Tell us a little about your company.
Young Rembrandts is a national franchise that serves to teach drawing fundamentals to kids. We do some art history, learn some art terminology, and teach drawing fundamentals step by step. Our philosophy is that any kid can learn how to draw.

How did you get your start in the Nussbaum Center?
I can’t remember how I heard about the Nussbaum Center, but when I met with the [workers here] they were so personable and nice. From the start, I felt like they were looking out for my best interest.

How has the Nussbaum Center helped your business grow?
Almost anytime I’ve needed something, they’ve been there. Clay has been so helpful with marketing and writing press releases, and Sam is always available with practical help when you need it. I honestly think I would have gone crazy without them (laughs). But the other entrepreneurs in here have been a big help, too. When you’re starting a business, you’re broke, you’re frustrated, you have some tough weeks. But being surrounded by people who are going through the same thing is amazing. I’ve been here almost four years, and I’m never leaving. At least not until they kick me out!
