Give: Reading Connections

The statistics are shocking: More than 20,000 Guilford County adults have a below-high-school education level. One local organization, Reading Connections, is tackling the problem head-on with programs that address basic literacy, GED preparation, English as a Second Language, and more. You can help in several ways: Make a donation to provide free classes and materials to students, volunteer your time as a tutor, or hone your vocabulary skills at the annual Scrabble Tournament on April 17.
