Although Dennis Quaintance, CEO and chief design officer of Quaintance-Weaver Restaurants and Hotels, keeps a hectic schedule, he says he likes to end each day by watching the sun set. Growing up in Montana — Big Sky country — he could see it from anywhere. But in Greensboro, Quaintance has had to be a bit more resourceful and find a few choice spots.
One is from the top of the Bellemeade Street Parking Deck (pictured), where he can take in a panorama of NewBridge Bank Park and the distant lights of the businesses along Friendly and Battleground avenues. He and his family also enjoy watching the sun go down from Green Hill Cemetery just north of downtown, and the city-owned gas station at Smith and Battleground. The beautiful view, Quaintance says, makes him feel good about living in Greensboro and recharges him for another busy workday. -Chris Gigley
